Founder · AI Product Engineer · Lagos, Nigeria

I build technology, companies and products.

I’m Joseph Iwe, a founder and AI product engineer in Lagos, Nigeria, focused on turning emerging technology into useful products and systems.

Through Buildwise Group and independent ventures, I work across AI, software, automation and product engineering, from the first idea through architecture, implementation and launch. I’m particularly interested in what happens when small teams gain access to increasingly powerful AI systems.

I build. I experiment. I write about what I learn.

What I build

Buildwise Group is the software engineering and product development company I founded, with a distributed team of engineers, developers and AI-capable designers. Alongside it I build independent products, including Huntly and Tradr.

Products and systems I’ve built:

  • Marvels Aesthetics Hub — A modern aesthetics and wellness brand focused on skincare, body care and self-confidence.
  • AskNex — An AI research and decision engine that turns complex information into structured, actionable answers.
  • API-First OSINT Intelligence Platform — A unified intelligence API that aggregates public-source data, resolves entities, detects risks and relationships, and turns fragmented information into structured, AI-assisted intelligence.
  • AI Operating System — A modular multi-agent platform designed to coordinate specialized AI agents across research, engineering, operations, governance, and business execution.
  • AI Quant Research Platform — An agentic research and trading system for market analysis, signal generation, strategy testing, risk management, and automated execution.
  • AI Grant Matching Platform — An AI-powered platform matching African startups and SMEs with relevant grants through automated eligibility screening.

What I work on

AI Product Engineering
Designing, building and shipping AI products, from the first idea to software people actually use. See the work
AI Systems
Multi-agent systems built from narrow agents with small toolsets, explicit orchestration, capped loops and human approval before consequential actions. AI Operating System
AI Automation
Automating repetitive, multi-step work such as reading job postings, screening grant eligibility and researching trading signals. AI Grant Matching Platform
AI Governance
Making authorization, approval and audit part of how AI systems run, rather than rules written around them. AI agents and governance
Technology Policy
Working where technology meets public policy, and currently pursuing a Master's in Public Policy. The accountability gap

What I write about

I write about building AI agents and about how governance has to change once AI systems take actions instead of giving advice.

Working together

I’m always interested in meeting people working on ambitious problems: companies and founders building an AI product, a software system or an automation; operators looking for a technical partner; and anyone up for research, writing or ideas around AI governance and technology policy.
